in the movie Rio, is Blu supposed to be based off a spix macaw? i mean i know they say he is a "blue macaw" but in the scene when they are at carnival with all the floats and stuff, Túlio puts on a costume that looks exactly like blu and says something in portuguese/scientific. i cant make out the first word, but he definitely said either Spixii or Spixu or something to the sort. Also, blue is supposed to be the last of its kind and spix macaw's are extinct in the wild (CORRECT me if i am wrong about that?) I was just wondering.

this is one of my favorite movies by the way ^_^

it is supposed to be a pix macaw, good catch!

they did not use 4 toes, only three for the macaws (although the perching birds -they got 4)

do you have the party pack for the movie, the second disc?? it is AWESOME. great extras! the director was portugese, so he made it really feel authentico.

we love that movie!

you mean spix macaw? lol you said pix macaw lol. YAY I WAS RIGHT!!! and no i do not have the party pack :( i wish.  2sadk i love the movie tho and would watch it over and over again, but my dad hates all music that isnt classic rock, so it would drive him INSANE!!
