So i heard that there is some fishing spots down at the Pomperaug River (GO POMPERAUG PATHERS WOOOO! [school spirit]) and it was nice out so i decided to go look for some spots. turns out there is a small park in my neighborhood and right on a tree there is a sign that had a picture of a fish so i was like OOOO! i went closer and it read "Trophy Trout Area" It is a known trout fishing area! i was like sweet!!!! i did not catch any trout yet i dont even know if trout are active during this time of year i usually fish for bass. ANYWAYS, here are some pics!

SCORE!!

I love photography so here is just a random pic basically.

Here is the spot

The hidden park

Fishing the real way!! (sorry my camera must have focused on the ground and not the worms, which i dug up.)

Here is a picture of me enjoying myself.

I just noticed that my dates are wrong :( whoops.

well that was my day! i am going fishing again today

Yup,
The last few years have been my worst for getting out fishing in my life.
This winter should of been the best winter ever for me getting out steelhead fishing.
But only got out a few times in the fall and once in february.
I actually have plans on scaling down on some of my fishing equipment. I bet i have close to 10 grand in high end fishing garb not including a boat in the garage loaded with down riggers and such that I havent used in 2 years.
But I do plan on doing some fly fishing on a small local creek this summer as frequently as i can. It is the best stress relief I have found yet.

Nice pics!  Looks like a great spot~
I love fishing too!  I have even tried fly fishing.  There are lots of places to fish around here which is nice.  D went fishing quite a bit last year.
My BIL is a huge fisher-person.  Few years ago he was out ice fishing with his friends and.....he just about lost his life! falling through the ice.  Good thing they were all experienced ice fishers! sweaten  That experience really shook him up...that's one thing I don't really want to try.  I will stick to being on dry land or boat...little boat in little water too!

Glad you had a good day.  i can't fish for beans, I used to go with my uncle sometimes but seem to have forgotten all that I had learned.  I took my kids once and prayed for them not to catch anything cuz no way in hell I was taking it off the hook!   scared1

I loooove fishing and spend as much time as I am able to on the water in the summer. Actually, we are supposed to start renting a lakefront house this spring. Now hopefully it goes as planned.

Very nice pics.  :twirl:

I'm not a fishing person & the funny thing is that I live at a lake.   stupid1 We have a channel off the main part right in our back yard. Right now we've had such a drought with over 100 degree temps. all last summer & the channel is almost dry. The lake is still in good shape, I've seen it way worse. Most fish for bass around here and also catfish.

The only reason I live at a lake & don't like fishing (so people don't think I totally crazy) is that I bought the place for my Mom back in '95. After she died in 2001, we moved in to the house.  roll

I much prefer living in the mountains & watching a swiftly running clear stream. Something we definitely do not have anywhere near here!  slaph

I do have a paddle boat that I've never been in. It was my Mom's & I don't like getting into water I can't see to the bottom of.  :deer:

Hope your fishing goes well & if you land in jail  jail give me a call, I have connections... laugh lol

In Wi you can fish until your license expires. But since season is closed you cant keep game fish...Im pretty sure pan fish are open year round. But I could be wrong since I just wait for opening weekend lol.
