My Mom called me this AM telling me that she was hearing flapping in the basement.  Yesterday while painting at her house I had the screen doors open because it was warm.  ashamed  I finally corralled him in a shelving unit with a garbage bag and overall he was calm.  I got him outside and he flew off.  Looked the same size and shape as a Blue Jay but dark.  Almost like a small crow.  Anyone know what this bird could have been?  dknow

I was gonna say red winged black bird too, it looks like a small crow but then in flight you can see a red stripe horizontally.  they are cool, we have a few that hang at my work.  I at first thought they were crows

Just had to get another one out of her basement  slaph  They must be wanting to nest and are finding ways down there.  Landlord needs to get off his ass to get someone there to see how and where cause this catching wild bird stuff is taking it's toll on me  :morn:

She probably needs a screen at the top of the chimney, where the furnace pipe comes out of the house.

Thats the first thing I thought of and told her to tell the landlord.  Makes more sense now Sondra as I looked for anything and found nothing.  Thanks Sondra  thumb
