Little frat

Zuri (yes Zuri) was being such a frat today .  After shreadding all her paper in the cage bottom she came out to attempt to tear the crap outta the speaker.  I told her no so she moved on to the back of her cage to attempt to chew the windowsill.  I said "zuriiii" and she yelled back at me Nah nah nah!.  I told her again No and she tried to kill my finger.  She kept it up so I moved her cage a bit out so she could not reach.  She was MAD... :pipen:  Making her LOUD pissid off beep and yelling at me NO!  After doing laps around her cage for a bit, all fluffed up and yelling at me she decided that she was getting no reaction by me and to try something new.  So shee opened her water door and dumped it all over the outside of the cage on the carpet.   

What a frat!  Spring is here!

Oh yeah, I too am seeing signs of spring! first of all, it'll be close to 70 today when in a few days we'll be seeing snow.  :somad: Both of them are molting! :somad: Cat just finished a molt, and is starting to molt AGAIN!  :somad:  ANNNDDD Pipz has begun singing to Cat...and she has begun listening   ...    Somehow I missed winter

Higgy has been shredding papers also, he does a digging motion to shred them. I told him, "hey, I just put those in there!" So he looks at me and tosses all the small boxes we put in there for him to shred out on the floor, then he too goes to his water dish and starts lifting it and letting it drop watching for a reaction as the water hits the hard wood floors. He can't take his water dish out as it's a crock as opposed to a bowl.

Maybe I should send Higgy to keep Zuri occupied for a while.

YoshiMike I say that cuz she is nesting, shreadding paper is a sign and so is chewing wood.  I only wish she would chew the wood on her toys.

    omg i love that fid.    huh! wont let me chew what i want??? how do ya like mopping??? 

i have to tie skittles food/water doors shut cause he inevitably dumps whatever is in them in the floor otherwise. AND i cant put more that a 1/4 cup of food in his extra dish cause if i do, he will stir it around with his beak so vigerously that is flies across the room! 

ya gotta love parrots... dontcha?    we dont have a choice, right?    i think its in their contract.

I was sitting there smirking behind my compy when she dumped the water.  I knew she was looking for a reaction since I did not respond to her doing laps on the cage and telling me off.      A while later she just went up and preened figuring "damn not gonna react, wth is wrong with her".   So that is when I went to clean the water.  I just left it till then.  hey it was only water. 

HW does that too with his food Toz.  So I only fill his 1/4 to half full too.
