this picture was taken by my nintendo DSi, so the color is distorted kinda, he had more blue on him and the pink/maroon on his body was more purple. assassin was killed by a goldfish when he molted. he was the only pet i paid for myself, tank and all. he died two years ago on 1-17-2010 i miss him. i just wanted to show you the greatest pet i had. love you buddy!

he was about 2 inches, just a baby. P.Allenis can get up to 8 inches
86 cent goldfish killed my 30 dollar crustacean that i loved so much, even when he made me bleed.

He WAS a beauty! Awesome! Isn't it sad how they can be killed so easily during a molt. I lost a few that way myself in my reef tank. :( Neat when you find just the empty shell though. Nature is vicious. Wishy they as well as most crustaceans and some types of stars (not brittle ones) can be out of the water for short periods without any duress. I took my chocolate chip star many times to school for the kids to hold and learn about. I just dipped every couple mins and he was fine.

Yup there lungs are like internal or something. As long as they are most they can be out of the water. Same thing with crabs
