Here's Gizmo in his new cage.  loveuk

I'll probably put a playgym on top eventually, but for now I took the tray out and just put some rope perches up there.

The cage seems empty compared to his old one.  lol It's wider. Both of these pictures were taken with my phone, so please pardon the graininess. :)

Here's a pic of both cages next to each other.

Here's a pic of just the cage, with Gizmo and Skittles checking it out.

edited to add: Forgot to add the seed guard, so here's some pics with that.

Gizmo seems to be enjoying it.

You'll be getting rid of the seed guards soon, nothing but a bother and they really hurt when you bump into them!

Get a plastic drop cloth from the dollar store, cut it so that it is 3 feet wider than the bottom of the cage all the way around, lay it on the floor and roll the cage onto it.This will make cleaning so much easier as all you do is roll the cage off, roll it up and either toss out the debris and wipe down and put back on the floor, or throw out and start with a fresh piece.

Probably, but for now they'll stay on haha.  smile3

They get on the floor and chew whatever is under there...so we gave up on putting anything down. Unless we stick a couple towels or rugs under there, we usually just go around with poop remover and a paint scraper and clean stuff up everyday lol.

Nope! Going to bounce him back and forth (it'll be set up in another room) to see if we can't kick him out of being so possessive/aggressive over just one. He's a territorial lil sucker.

One day, it may be filled with another fid. ;) Cages are too expensive to get rid of...I also have a large cage my grandmother gave me that was for her african grey. They downsized when they sold their house and moved into an RV, plus I have Buddy's old cage and two parakeet/lovebird size cages. Hehe

Very nice cage! Gizmo does look like he loves it already.  :twirl:

He certainly has lots of goodies to have fun with, he should be a happy fiddie for sure!  handshappy

The cage off to the right is a Kings Cage that I got for Gizmo off Craigslist for 150 bucks a couple of years ago. :)  It's being moved into a different room. The new Cali cage is staying in the living room. It's not quite so...dominant? in the room haha.

Actually, Dad commented to me last night that Giz has mellowed out quite a bit! So hopefully, bouncing him back and forth will keep his behavior in check.  think
