well, caleb's cage came in and yesterday i put it together. it actually took only about 45 mins for the assembly. Then another 4 hours to reorganize the 'bird room' and move twiggy's cage. So now Caleb and Twiggy share a room, i put a 'security fence' round Twiggy's cage to keep Caleb off it. But, it turns out, it was unnecesary so far. Caleb has almost exclusively stayed on top of his cage. First i'd like to show ya Caleb's handiwork.  dmblaf

drill case, by the time i took it out of the room Caleb had chewed a hole that was easily 7 inches across.

i put a rubbermaid tub lid across a 'favorite' spot to keep him out.

Caleb giving his new piano the evil eye.

Caleb's new room

Twiggy's new cage placement. She was a bit snarky bout the whole thing but i HAD to get her outta the walkway.

That cage is awesome! Can't wait until I can upgrade Bowies cage into something like that. I bet Caleb is loving it! And look at that toy rack! It's like you have your own little bird store.  laugh

nope, concrete block.  smile3  only the interior walls even have drywall on 'em. all the exterior walls are concrete block with a thin layer of plaster and some paint on 'em. i'm waiting to see if he can tunnel through concrete block.  confused

LB, that rack was at work and they were gonna throw it away. so i bought $5 worth of our suggestive sell candy and it was mine. i used to have lots of extra larger toys too, but caleb put a heck of a dent in my back ups.  slaph

ya know all those seed guards that come with big cages that ya JUST DONT NEED. i mean, my big guys dont really EAT that much seed. All they do is give ya something else to rack your shins on.  slaph  well, i got my handy dandy hammer and hammered them flat and then nailed them over the more...uh... damageable parts of the bird room.  smile3  lets see how long it takes Caleb to figure out how to out smart me on THIS one.  nails

Very nice cage Caleb has. He should feel very comfortable in there. I like your spare toy stock.   thumb

I have made some toys for my boys & I need to get busy on new ones.   confused
