She cooks like my Grandmother from past times, when the days of playing outside of tag football, riding bikes, playing kick ball, hop scotch in the street, running around playing hid n seek...........

These days are the TV, Ipods, Ipads & video games.........

I mean, I have T2 Diabetes, but I know that ever meal is my own personal struggle...but she has been downplaying the idea that her eating habits brought on this disease.........
I mean, I know that My lifestyle brought it on, come on Paula...
I have it in my family real bad and MY doctor has me convinced that genetics played a big part of my issue, but her PR low profile approach I think will be her down fall.

Whatcha think on the subject?

she is in denial.. plain and simple.. and the fact that she is downplaying the serious damage diabetes can do is not going to help anyone.. she is going to have a big health shock in the next 5 years, mark my words.. and she is going to come out with a statment like " Iregret that I did not fully acknowledge the seriousness of my condition...."  I have seen too many people deny it and downplay it until it is too late, and then they are looking at missing limbs and kidney transplants..  you can't eat like that and not REALLY burn it off... it is not realistic to think you can do that! we have the most obese people in this country - more than than ANYWHERE else on earth.

I agree with ya Patti.  thumb

I saw an article on her pop up but didn't read it.  It's so not something to take lightly.  Most of my patients were diabetic and I have seen what it can do to a person.  It is deadly when not handled properly which unfortunately I have witnessed.  Diabetes runs on my dad's side of the family.....I would be in a world of trouble if I got it....I LOVE sugar!
