I was surprised to find out what can cause serious consequences for our birds..........Grape pedialyte, cherrios!!

Check out the article by examiner #17, it's a real eye opener.

makes sense with the aspartane in the pedialyte, never thought of it. 
Cheerios, I used to gibe all the time on a string for them to play and chew.  hmm

Probably cause cheerios were invented and still made in Buffalo.  Can't get nothin right here I tell ya hmm

oh carp! Julian loves Cherrios!  sadboy3 not anymore

well, it is par for the course in this house, stuff gets crossed off the "you can have this , it is safe" list all the time.

thank you for the info Sondra, I would have felt terrible knowing I made him sick.. so no artificial sweetners for birds!!! GOOD to know!!! no splenda/sweet n low/equal, etc..

and the grape pedialyte!! OMG!!! I have given that to my KIDS!!! WTH is wrong that they let this through! omg.

Artificial sweeteners are bad for us so I am sure they are bad for the birds too.  We do not use any artificial sweeteners in our house.   But the cheerios thing, who'd of thunk it??  Oh well, my birds won't be able to try them.  That is ok, max would eat them, but i am pretty sure ruby would not.  She is so finicky!!! groggy
