Max has been biting at his cage, and i see the paint is missing.  How worried should I be about this.  I only paid 20 bucks for this cage on ebay, so I am not sure if it will be harmfull to him.    stop

Get a new cage right away. Those inexpensive cages are mad in China and when the paint chips off the birds seem to pick at the bare metal and they can end up with metal toxicity.

wow!! you said you wanted a new cage!! you are going tohave to spend some $$ so make sure it is one you like (ease of cleaning, practical in design, safe) and you won't have to buy another!  thumb

you may also want to add more nibble-me toys, so he may be more interested in them instead of the bars..  think

glad to hear you got a new one.  Most cages if they chip are painted over zinc which is highly toxic.   :deer:
