People have been keeping their pets like that for years, the most well known is Trigger. While it's not something I would consider, those people aren't hurting anyone.

i saw a part of an episode and that guy did amazing work. i couldnt have mine stuffed to me it would hurt to much to see them here and not be able to take them for walks and stuff. i know somebody who had her dog stuffed and she cried when she got him back as she was happy to see him again. i guess to each their own

i briefly played with the idea of having the fids stuffed if anything ever happened to them. but i think it would be just a stuffed parrot. after all, the part of them that i love will be gone, their personality, their spirit, whatever it is. it would be gone and all that is left is an empty shell.  dknow  i think it has to do with not letting go or moving on, tho i've never seen the show so i cant say for sure. i have this.... thing against those reality type tv shows.  dknow

I agree it is a bit much of those shows but it does peak interest for some and that is why they are so popular.

I must admit I do like Pawn stars because some of the stuff they get in is really neat and I learn about history.

I saw that on the guide just yesterday the stuffer one and i was like ummm ya not watching that.  Hubs likes one called Oddities the show is disgusting!  I never knew how many totally creepy wierd people live in one area.   :deer:

I agree D!! too many of these shows!! Swamp People scares me the most!! (I hear Banjos!! PADDLE FASTER!!  :deer: )

teh one american loggers show makes me mad because it shows them decimating our forests!!! I do not feel sorry for them, stop cutting the dern trees!

the storage wars, aren't there like 3 of this kind of show about storage units gone bad?

hoaders is gut wrenching, because EVERYBODY is suffering and it is a mental issue, and the houses.. are...  :silence:

I dunno how I would feel about taxidermy.,. it is a personal and very divided issue.. it would creep me out to have my dog stuffed and STARING at me, knowing he is dead.. it would be like I stuffed Grandma.

pawn stars is cool for the history, you got that right Ditty!  the guy who runs it seems kinda cool too.

i like the tattoo shows mostly for the art, the drama is meh.. the atristry is amazing, and the stories behind the tattoos are usually awesome.

there are like 4 REPO shows now, one of them with the BABY JANE fat chick  bugeye and a couple more.. some of them are so/so...

Dogg the bounty hunter.. I dunno, it is a little ....off....

it is like Ocean COUnty chopperss and the other one with the motorcycles (you know the one but I cannot remember the name at the moment..) again the drama: meh, but the art/bikes/craftsmanship!! WOW!

Oh ya Wishy American Choppers!  LOVE that show!  the drama not so much but HOLY WOW the artistic talent that goes into those bikes are amazing to me.  I especially loved the 9/11 memorial that Paul Jr (PJD) did.

Ok I am a sucker for the reality shows like that, not all but a few. But I will not watch the one with animals being stuffed..not my thing..creeps me out.

Anyway I watch and very much LOVE:

Swamp people...the people are cool and pretty funny usually, they do hunt alligators but think about the over population in the swamps..

American Pickers..Totally love that show.

Pawn stars

American restorations (when I catch it, neat to see old things made new again)

Moonshiners....

We watch one of the gun shows but cant remember what it is called.....the company is Red Jacket

Deadliest catch...my favorite of ALL

Storage wars, but only the original..I hate the texas one and the one on a different channel

Gold Rush

Ghost hunters

Intervention...this one...wow...when I watch it I am drained...hits so very close to home

Once in a blue moon we also watch American choppers for the art work

Oh and I watch teen mom...so much drama but I adore the kids

Cant help it...I think the shows are so interesting. Just to learn about the ways of other people and the things they do to make a living.

I like reality shows, disgusting shows (Like Infested!), but i WILL NOT Watch American Stuffers. I have had a deer taxidermied, but for a pet? no thank you. Not my cup of tea.

I've not seen the "stuffers" show and don't really intend to :deer:
Like said...they come out with a show and then everyone else comes out with one as well!  The Pawn shows....Pawn stars I like...yes for the history!!!  They get some cool stuff in there and if you remember I had my momma go there and they won't even come out to say Hi!  :bruce:
Love American Pickers...I could so do that! and American Restoration.  Yeah I do like Dog the bounty hunter...the housewives shows and anything Jersey... dknow ashamed...keeps me entertained!  I did like the one repo show, then they have Lizard Lick repo (or something) then another one (based in the south) but now they seem so fake and staged I don't like them.

DEADLIEST CATCH!! YES!! more of a documentary than a reality show, but it is ZEE BEST.

hubby was teasing me when he walked in the room, and it was the one where captain phil died and I was in the room crying wacthing it...then he saw the rerun and was as messed up as me..  cwy cry

we LOVE it and have been fans since the beginning.. so it really tore us up.

I forgot about the restoration one! that is WAY COOL. they work so hard, and it is truly a FINE skill.
