Are your fids eating you out of the house too?  The last week or so it seems the bowl is always empty!  Sheesh!  I don't know what is different this year than any other?   dknow  I am not feeding anything different.  BF says hers are doing the same thing.

How are the Hormones in the birds? When the hormones are flowing they usually eat more. I don't increase their food during hormone time. If hormones are high I'll actually decrease the amount they are fed by not giving so many treats and increasing their foraging toys. I make more toys for foraging and add food from their bowls to the toys because a busy bird is less vocal and more happy.

I don't get it, this is the first year they are eating like this.  Usually I go through LESS this time of year.  Maybe they are as messed up as mother nature.  dmblaf

I also feed Zupreem. Higgy is hormonal, as is Powder. Max and Poncho aren't hormonal. Forgot to mention that birds that molt will have an increased appetite. I buy larger bags of pellets (17.5 pounds) at a time and freeze them.

Jade munches a few zupreems naturals as an addition to her food...more as a treat thn a food staple. She more plays with them. Dunks them over an over and crunches them up.  They eat so much stuff....and I haven't really noticed any increase.

mine eat mostly fresh food. But i've been going through alot more than usual. usually there is leftovers in the bowls when i toss the old food, but lately the bowls have been completely empty. i'm wondering if its instinct. my outside cat is eating like a horse lately and her winter coat is thicker than usual. Maybe its gonna be a rough winter and they're 'getting ready'?  dknow

I sent them a PM and got no response so I sent them one on the FB wall.  I did not say anything but that my fids are eating like crazy and I can't keep the bowl full.  Was wondering if they changed how they make it.  And a friend was having the same thing happen.
I went last night and either my FB was acting up, or they deleted it.   think

It was my FB acting up and I have looked again for a response and they did respond.  Here is what they said-

ZuPreem-The formula remains the same on the FruitBlend. If you are feeding Natural, five whole grains (including ground millet) and fruit has been added to the formula.

so it WAS changed as we thought it might have been.  So now I wonder if they are not as full with the new formula, or is it more yummy.  dinner   dknow
