Talon and Maui have been really getting along good the last few days. I love watching them interact. Mainly because Talon was raised with tiels and in my opinion he has always acted more like a tiel than a conure. Since Maui arrived I have noticed small changes in him, but more and more everyday. When I weaned Talon he was weaned onto a great varied diet but about a year later he refused to eat his pellets. Now that Maui is here he is eating his pellets again, because he sees Maui do it. Today they were both out playing and I stuck a carrot in one of Maui's toys. About 20 minutes later Talon was in Maui's cage just chowing the carrot. Normally he will not eat people food unless I am eating it (then he wants everything LOL). Then I put some rice and broccoli in the food bowl and Talon was the first to dive in. But besides eating better Maui has taught T how to play with his toys, he never really was big on playing. It is so cute to see him hanging from a toy and squealing with delight. They are not caged together but enjoy hanging out together for several hours during the day. I love watching them learn from each other.  loveuk Talon has helped Maui feel at home here and Maui taught Talon how to be a conure.

wow!! that is great! it does warm your heart to see them learn and have a better life for it. it sounds like things are better between the two since they're each in their own rooms. a little distance does wonders for relationships.  loveuk

ollie has learned to play by watching skittles and marley... lemme tell ya, there's nothing funnier than watching an amazon play like a caique!  laugh

It's awesome to see them learning from each other..........they seem to become more independent of us, which is a good thing!

It is awesome. They never lived together though, just had out of cage time together.  What I like about it is that they arelearning new things but both are still just as loving with us. But they are content to play alone now too thumb
