okay, so it's a magazine, not a book. but its written word... that's close enough. anyway, each month i eagerly await my monthly issue of bird talk. as it gets closer to time i faithfully check my mail box daily... when all i'm expecting is bills i only check it once or twic a week. lol! anyway, i knew it was about that time again, so i checked my mailbox today. and  handshappy jackpot! it was there. now as i sit in my car, by the side of the road, i have to at least check out the table of contents. i just dont have the patience to wait the 100 feet to my driveway!  smile3  so here i am thumbing through my issue. one of my favorite parts is memo to parker and pepper. those just crack me up! this month's memo is called "hope and liver treats."   i was like HUH?  duh does she feed her fids liver treats? so i had to read the article.... little did it know it was about mattie, her dog. sweet mattie passed away. i have never met this animal, never spoken to patricia sund, until today: never even saw a real picture of the pup. But there i sat, in my car, by the side of the road, reading that article with tears streaming freely down my face.  cry

Got mine today. You can feel her pain at the loss of her pup.  2sadk  An on line friend has her fids pic in the back. Its Conrad the Hahn's Macaw on the globe. Check him out. He is a way cool bird. And I love the centerfold this month. Blue budgies are the best!  (JUst ask my Waldo.)

“My brother and sister birds, you should praise your Creator and always love him: He gave you feathers for clothes, wings to fly and all other things that you need. It is God who made you noble among all creatures, making your home in thin, pure air. Without sowing or reaping, you receive God’s guidance and protection.”
St. Francis of Assissi
