I took to charlie to his and My first visit to an Avian Vet ( only 6 miles from my house!)
as I'm leaving work the assistant calls me and ask 1,ooooooo questions on all of his diet and his husbandry, etc....

The ride went well, we got there and everyone was Super Nice, Charlie greeted everyone, danced, talked waved...so impressed his Mom, I was SOOOOOO Proud!

Then the doctor came in, He blew me away at how respectful he was to both Charlie and Myself.....he was kind to charlie, explained everything he was doing and looking for, Charlie got excited when they layed him down to listen to his heart and tummy, but calmed right back down- as she talked to him

Here are the Results:

The collect Blood at 5-7 yrs of age for a blood panel, so now is too soon.
Eyes: Bright and clear, responsive and no signs of aging or cataracts.
Oral Cavity: clear, normal size and shape- said his beak was in perfect condition.
Nares: free and clear
Air Sacs and Breathing: normal effort, no wheezing, crackles, popping or abnormal lung sounds.
Heart and Circulation: Not irregular beats found.

He then said, Ive seen many Birds over the years and he is one of the most beautiful Birds Ive ever seen!
Then was given my report and noticed on the bottom that they Thanked me for coming in, No one does that.
I cant get over how nice they were, and they didnt talk down to me like I didnt know what I was talking about and fed Charlie Pecan's while we were there because Id fed him all of his nuts during the ride.
Then they begged for a Picture of him.

I was so incredibly proud, Charlie told them all Bye and off we went.

Im So excited, and Ive now made an appointment for my 4 Dogs to be seen by them as well.

Thank You VM,. Your a Doll!!!!! :heartu:

I told you they are awesome!!!  I love them there.  Have used them for years for the dogs.  Going to take Visto in sometime in the next month or so.  but first I need to make sure I am not about to spend alot on savannah.  she is acting fine the past couple days, but she may be visiting the vet very soon

A good AV is worth their weight in gold. Sounds like Charlie really turned on the old charm.  no5    What a cutie.

“My brother and sister birds, you should praise your Creator and always love him: He gave you feathers for clothes, wings to fly and all other things that you need. It is God who made you noble among all creatures, making your home in thin, pure air. Without sowing or reaping, you receive God’s guidance and protection.”
