Title: New Arrivals
Post by: chance on August 21, 2010, 11:17:43 am

Now onto the next one , which I am very upset over, Baby a 16 yr old male Umbrella Too. His owner has owned him his whole life, Poor baby has not been out of his cage in years, has no social skills at all, will attack you. His owner has smoked on top of him all these years, He is COVERED in nicotine , his couple of toys and cage are filthy covered in nicotine and grim . He has no idea what bird food is, only eats table scraps.....

The lady with the conure showed up here the same time the lady with the Too did, the lady with the conure waited for the lady with the Too to leave, as soon as she left, this poor lady with the conure broke down in tears, ran over and hugged me , and said thank you for saving that poor bird, she left a donation so that we can get Baby some new toys free of nicotine.
I am so upset over this poor Too.
She will be going into foster care this afternoon. Kelly I can't thank you enough for taking on a huge challenge like this.....

Bless you for the 10,000 time. And the sad fact is, you have had so much worse come through the door.
One of the nurse managers  at work is off to Washington to march and rally for , as she describes it "The low key tea party movement, but with no screaming , yelling or sign waving. " I can't wait until its our turn. I was telling her about our tentitive trip to D.C., and she thought it was way cool. And again, had no idea there even was a parrot problem in the US, let alone the scale on which it exists.

AIR! the bird is probably thankful for fresh air first and then a caring hand,

that cage is so nasty, OMG it made me wanna puke.  :silence:

the conure is gorgeous! like the ones from telegraph hill.  she was nice to give you toy $, that bird is going to think it is dreaming!
