Title: Troy, Ohio bird hoarding situation. Make your voice heard.
Post by: Jadesmom on August 08, 2011, 11:18:34 am
130 parrots in filthy, deplorable conditions. Dead birds hanging in cages. SPCA and law enforcemnet refuse to step in as they are worried about violating the hoarders rights. Local vet stepped in and took the worst cases, now he is being threatened with arrest. Its a huge mess. Please make your voice heard.

The SPCA went in and gave him 2 weeks to clean it up despite the fact there were multiple dead birds....black slimy water...filth inches deep on the floor. Want to see pics?   Warning...they are stomach turning. Here's a link if you want to see how bad it is. Video is on the Left side. The vet even went on TV begging someone to step in. An attorney from the Animal Defense Fund says they will step in, but it will take timne to wind its way through the courts. In the mean time, every email anbd phone call will help. The vet says every bird tested so far (10) all show signs of starvation. Here is a clip from the local TV station. Warning....its not pretty.
