She hates them, but better than the anti-plucking vest or the collar. Isn't she pretty in pink?

she does not shread them, Yoshi would shread them for sure.  Not to mention I would have it decorated with blood spots from my fingers getting it on

The only place she tries to shred is the bottom, so I have started running a piece of bandage tape across the front bottom, and it seems to be working well.

How long has she had to wear that?  I too would choose a vest over that "cone of shame" collar.

Well I may have to check into what size "sock vest" for Yoshi.  Right now we are good, but you never know bout tomorrow.  I will never put on the collar again unless absolutely necessary.  Remember the gash he gave himself by sticking his foot under it and turning it all the time?

I get little girls small socks. If you make them, 2 things to remember. Put the holes close to the neck area, and put them close together ( so it looks like a racer back bathing suit or tank top) in the back. Not one on each side, but like both on the top. I bought the anti-plucking vest, and just hates it. It also throws her balance off, and causes her poop to stick to her vent. That causes an occlusion, and constipation. I guess thats pretty common when they can't squat like the want to. I have some pics. Let me know when you are ready. I also have instructions for a soft collar, but had trouble keeping them on .

OMG Wishy, I would have been a mess. Did you ever figure out what happened? How Julian lost the nail? And I gotta say, all this from a woman who was basically scared to death to bring him home...... :laugh:  You've come a long way baby (to quote the Virginia slims commercial) Stellar job!
Debz, I have been putting  it on her when she seems to be getting wound up. It kinda calms her down too, then I have been taking it off and watching her close. But, last Sunday she did it when I was at work. No behavior warnings. I can usually see her winding up, so I am just going to leave them on her full time. She does well for weeks, and then just explodes emotionally. Here are is a pic in the vet collar...AWFUL! And let me see if I can find a pic of her  mutilation... found it. Not very clear. It was raw and wide open. I almost fainted when I saw what she had done.  I flew to the vet at about 100 MPH! And when it was all said and done, that little episode of quaker temper cost me about $600.00 dollars.

I have to give the credit to the folks here for helping me know what to do when/if something should happen.. this happy ending was because of all the stuff I learned from you.

You could see the muscle. It was deep. I took the vest off today and she had a nice bath. Then she gets a new one put on. Todays color will be hot pink. Or plain white.Nope.... I like the colors better.
