While I was making some country crocked chicken I also cut up some veggies, etc for a parrot dinner.  I had a bag of cooked grains in the freezer that I mixed them with.  I bought fresh sprouts but when I opened the bag they were funky.  The veggies are Hot Peppers, Tomatoes, Fresh Figs, Carrots, Zuchini, and Endive.  I then mixed them with the grains. Looks good  AddEmoticons04239 Tell me again about the grainsagain, I really want to try a mash or chop mix but with only one bird it is hard to make a small batch. Sorry I know you told us before but I was thinking if I could by it in the bulk section I could get smaller amounts, I know you freeze it but I also know Zim is a pickey eater and I dont want to spend a lot of time & $ on a mix only to throw in away.

The difference between kids and parrots is that it's funny when a parrot talks back.

The grains I give and cook are Buckwheat, Barley, Steel cut Oats, Quinoa, Spelt, Pearled Red Wheat, Pastini, thin egg noodles, CousCous,Cracked Corn,Amaranth,Whole Wheat, Kamut and Brown Rice.  I get much in bulk if I can.  It is alot but if you cook a big batch, portion and freeze it is real handy with creating quick healthy meals. afro.gif
