I have finally gotten around to registering here!
My name is Kelly and I am 33. Today is actually my daughter's birthday, she is 17!
I have a WCP and I love her! She's beautiful and sweet and I adore her! Oh, apparently she faints....I had a scare a bit ago and found out that she will occasionally, well, faint.
I also have a few other animals.
Some of you I may know from the BC forum and I look forward to meeting other bird lovers.

Hellooooo and welcome so do tell who faints your daughter or your bird?

When I was in the Air Force Basic training (many years ago)we had a girl that would faint every time something got stressful...now don’t you think that would have disqualified her, sure as hell wouldn’t want to be on a battle field with her  >:(

sorry to ramble on that just reminded me of that  ;D

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! ;D
I'm sorry I wasn't clear, it's my WCP Miso that has the fainting spells. She was in the shower on her perch and get extremely excited once and scared me to no end!
I don't have the patience for dealing with people much so being and Animal Cop is ideal. I can save animals, which I adore, and call the people cops to deal with the citizens when it's necessary. Ewww, PEOPLE HAVE GERMS! :D

Thank you, I'm rally glad that I found this place.
I was a Veterinary Technician for 6 years and always had an interest in law enforcement.
I saw that my city was taking applications and applied.
The training is the police academy then 2 weeks of really hard work for certification.
OJT is the main thing and every jurisdiction has it's own requirements and SOP.
It's a good career, I really enjoy it sometimes.
Others, I don't sleep.

Kudos to you for the job you have taken on, I couldn’t do it...it is like the people that work in the rescues I just don’t think I could stand all of the heart break. I know it is kinda sticking your head in the sand but I guess I'm just not strong enough to do it. That is why to those of you that can you have my upmost respect.
